For once Kinsley.com does something decent, despite the tie-in (AND THE @#$%&* ADS): a pictorial essay on Helen of Troy. The problem is, none of the examples here convince my mind's eye of the face that launched a thousand ships (the line is Marlowe's); moreover, no actress today has that wanton sexiness, that infinite beauty that seemed possible in actresses only a generation ago. With her ordinary looks and vapid stare the candidate of the TWXSTERS' CGI-fest could as well be Vanna White, though the alphabet might disagree.
Lynda Carter would have come VERY close, but that was three decades ago.
