What the campaign flacks forget (and I'd expect them to midst their six-digit pleading) is if SEN. HERO runs every Republican senator (and every Republican HOUSE member) is now an enemy. Also, when he must cast tie-breaking votes whose side will he take? (Of course -- THE RIGHT, er, OUR SIDE!) No, PAPER OF RECORD, you can spin this into a victory for THE AMERICAN PEE-PUL to hide your strategem, but SEN. McPAIN becomes a DEMOCRAT, if he isn't one DE FACTO already.
