The AHHHHHHHHHHT of JERNALISM:

[John Randolph Makeig] was an accident-prone driver who once tried to persuade his editors that an exceptionally long story he had written — [Doug] Clarke remembers it being 43 pages long — about a routine fender-bender was the best story of his career and deserved a Pulitzer Prize. It was whittled down to a three-inch brief and buried inside the paper.

But then ALL JERNALISTS have NOVELS in them -- and SCREENPLAYS.
