...I really have to commend to you the very, very fine new movie In Her Shoes, with Cameron Diaz and Shirley MacLaine. It's about sisters, one a gorgeous aging party girl and the other a frumpy but successful lawyer -- and it takes all kinds of unexpected twists and turns into their pasts, complete with the surfacing of an unknown grandmother dealing with her own grief in a hilariously rendered "retirement community for active seniors" in Florida. Go go go. You'll laugh. You'll cry. As the president might say, trust me.
