Mr. Mark puts RELIGION on the cover! (God -- or rather, god -- knows we haven't been inside a church in years, the only true God being ST. WARREN.) And of course when you see Billy Graham there, the first thing you think is -- he's gone LIBERAL!!!!! BUT:

Graham has made it clear that partisan politics and the culture wars feel far away. He will not offer opinions on stem-cell research, for instance, and he has stopped giving political counsel to the powerful, a habit that began with Eisenhower.

This is wise thinking -- but why did it come toward the end of his life, well after he'd made buddy-buddies with Tricky Dick and Leonid? And why did he consent to plaster his newfound humility on the cover of a CW rag? Humility can never come to grasp with publicity.

P. S. And of course Billy isn't on the cover of St. Warren's international edition, which further makes us wonder what "news" is. (That story is on big biz' latest fad, environmental PC. Let's see how long that buzzword mania lasts.)
