We're of two minds here: when Dubya can go off wherever without a cadre of pitbulling Helen Thomases that might be a good thing for the nation's sanity -- sort of like having Coolidge at the helm. But then we know Dubya's passion for show-offy secrecy. And then:

Patrice McDermott, director of OpenTheGovernment.org, a coalition formed three years ago that includes groups such as the American Library Association, Common Cause, the League of Women Voters and the Society of Professional Journalists [conservative outfits all, sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh], called the changing pattern of coverage "quite disturbing" and part of a "rising tide of secrecy" in Washington.

And I think, if you folks don't like Dubya, and you don't, get yourselves a Democratic president. You never cease to try.
