Years ago there was a "lounge act" called Jonathan and Darlene Edwards, that played and sang standards in its own -- unique way. Now we must roll our eyes as Branson East goes bananas with what sounds to us hinterlands folk like an updated version of the Edwardses, only it's -- EDGY. (Ben being in his -- MODE he gives us a 1,284-word in-joke.) This reminds us that every time we read a press release about THE MAN we should know there was a marginal talent named Eva Tanguay who got herself in the top rung of vaudeville (and in the papers) by singing risqué tunes and simulating an orgasm doing Salomé's Dance. The more things change....
