Here's one for you, Rog:
Bands often set prices as high as the market will bear because live entertainment is now their main source of income, according to Gary Bongiovanni, the editor-in-chief of Pollstar, a box office trade magazine. When service fees are tacked on to that charge, bands then have a way to deflect criticism for high prices to Ticketmaster. Lowering the face value of the ticket would mean less money in band members' pockets. Who knew ah-TEESTES were politicians?
