The fact that I learned that
The Paper of Re-CORD apologized to PILLHEAD's Accent on page one from
the Accent himself seems to indicate the limit of corrections. I did not see it on
The Paper's home page. What's more
the buncombe The Paper spread will have a far longer shelf life than the correction. That's because a page-one correction will have less impact in a wired age. The Web's vast and growing conspiracy theories speak to that. We would all do well to try and avoid electronic untruths knowing full well each new untruth is an accretion that cannot be washed or sandblasted away.
