Professor InstaPundit (independent crusading Bill Gates employee) assumes his Thinker pose on the movies, and he gets a response:
The best years for movies was the 1930’s & 40’s. The best years for music was the 1950’s & 60’s. This sounds like the beginning of bad poetry. I'd wager the most knowledgeable film historians (or rather, those very few not afflicted with Biskinditis) would say silent-era movies are best; that second sentence is straight from Robert "Over the" Hilburn. As long as people think in platitudes about our culture it will never get better -- and I'm not sure now that it deserves to.
