Mustering up enthusiasm is a bit tough, co-anchor Matt Lauer says. ''It's hard to get excited about a lot of things these days,'' he says. ''It's hard to get excited about the Super Bowl and the World Series when you have to talk about how it's going to take people three hours to get into the stadium because they're going to be patted down. We just have lost so much innocence, and innocence used to be what made the Olympics...."
Sorry to dampen your Olympic flame, Matt, but I think they lost their innocence a long time before you were born.
