Perhaps the defining moment of the night, however, came when Gates and [Conan] O'Brien showed how digital cameras using new Microsoft technology can send pictures directly to a PC via a wireless Wi-Fi connection. O'Brien took a few pictures of Gates, thumbnails of which immediately appeared on a nearby screen. Unfortunately, technical difficulties--though not with the camera itself--held up the demonstration. "Nine people are being fired right now," O'Brien cracked.
