We forget that in addition to being a car builder extraordinaire Walter P. Chrysler was quite a salesman. In magazines everywhere during the Depression he implored car buyers to consider
Plymouth (!) among "the low-priced three." It was a simple, direct, forceful, and effective pitch, and made Plymouth a leading car brand until Juergen Shemp...Shrimp...SCHRRRREMPP destroyed it. Judging from
the video morsels Rance Crain's boys put before us the ad biz is certainly NOT interested in selling anything, or in treating their customers as equals -- no, with them it's special effects, and offense, and prurience, and above all, CONDESCENSION. Walter P. Chrysler would be lucky to get a JOB these days.
