This won't stick. Yes, it appears someone at Al got cute, but while this may be a smoking skyline, it's no smoking gun: The biz has played tricks with pictures since Valentino and Caruso appeared together at the River Styx in the New York Evening Graphic. No SAM, it's going to take a lot more than a doctored picture to prove the Reut's malfeasance -- and with your many dispatches of YASSIR'S and IDI AMIN'S DEATHS BEFORE THE FACT you're not the one to lecture.
Indeed, seeing those pictures from Bernarr MacFadden's rag makes us wish we lived in the twenties -- and that reading the news were fun again.
