The smacking of lips is DEAFENING:

Broadcasters soon will launch a major publicity campaign to ensure the public is aware of the switch to digital TV scheduled for February 2009, the head of National Association of Broadcasters said Wednesday....

The NAB believes the government will need to spend far more than the $1.5 billion it has allocated for a program to supply converter boxes – perhaps as much as $10 billion, Rehr said.
