OH oh, the Dalai Lamas of Mountain View are not perfect:

"Investor optimism regarding YouTube was misplaced," said Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry. "Google is failing to do anything with YouTube."

This will happen when you pay $1.65 billion for cute pet tricks.

For its $1.65 billion, Google is getting a operation that had just $15 million in sales last year, according to Robert Peck, a Bear Stearns analyst who has a buy rating on Google. While the company hasn't confirmed that figure, in its 2006 annual report, Google described YouTube's contribution to its bottom line as "immaterial."

Because how many advertisers want to sponsor cute pet tricks?
