ANNOYING:
After yesterday's open house, tonight's gala, and the launch this week of the theater's first production, Being Alive, Garonzik and board president E. Gerald Riesenbach will turn back to raising the $10 million needed to reach the project's $30 million goal ($25 million for construction, $5 million to establish an endowment). So far the biggest donations are $5 million from the state and $3 million from the city. [Twenty-first and twenty-second of TWENTY-FOUR GRAFS] TRANSLATION: We have a state subsidized 365-seat play-with-itself thea-TAH. FURTHER TRANSLATION: It's named for a tax deduction for BRIAN ROBBER. If we're going to have the state in show-biz let's go whole hog and DO IT.
