Which brings up another point: I believe most news hacks regard advertising as evil. Not a necessary evil, but EVIL. They view it the way they might a whore's earnings; indeed, they might venture, a whore earns her fee honestly. (They might venture that because so many have mental VD.) Someone should tell these reeking frauds that perhaps the news biz could exist without advertising when papers were a tract writer and a hand-worked press. It has not been that way for a while. Advertising helped the industry grow -- indeed it made it the true psychic burden it became in the last half-century. Without advertising the NAPALM GIRL wouldn't run constantly in their DREAMS. That news hacks speak with such eagerness of bailouts and going non-profit says they want to continue putting one over without having to pay their full freight. In short, they want to be welfare KINGS. I have not paid for a news source in ages -- and I'd rather not have to do it WITH MY TAXES.
