Even a TWXSTER must confess that moments of staged national unity such as our Bloviator-in-Chief had to face today are "hollow", they're hollow because we've come to expect so little from such moments, and our dwarfish leaders live down to them -- and then there are "the television commentators [who can] hardly stop talking" -- in short, the WOLF BLITZERS -- and lots of THEM work for PEOPLE WARNER TOO.

And the conservatives are correct to blast His Omnipotence's extreme rhetorical fastidiousness, His refusal to endorse certain shared truths that offend Him, His willingness to descend to phony, hollow words to cover up for the fact, and His surpassingly glib ability to acknowledge those who disagree with Him without acknowledging them. And when does He apologize for Hiroshima?

Our only solace is that we remember how quickly the friendly buffoon Dubya became irrelevant, and Slick before him, despite his popularity polls.
