That the hacks have gotten out their automatic verbiage referring to Lena Horne as "legendary" means they don't understand her either. She was an enigma, as befitting a black performer who passed for white, but she was also an extraordinarily beautiful and magnetic woman with a seductive appeal, and she could have been of any race and that would have been true, and she arrived at precisely the right time, good for her and in time for us.
