Grate.com is often a glorified fanzine and has this way of hiding its very rare good stuff, but Bill Wyman's piece is a sword to BIGMEDIA's stomach. With content easier to procure by illegal means why bother paying for it? And it doesn't take a genius IQ to figure that "the overall value of [their] product, which had been propped up by [their] monopoly control of it, has been considerably and permanently lessened." To the extent BIGMEDIA's extrusions become an irrelevance it can only be good for us: if the stuff's worth nothing, why spend so much time watching nothing?
